Leading Project: Steady Asia’s work at the intersection of psychotherapy, affective neuroscience, and trauma-informed care.
Gang Badoy Capati is presently a Neuroscience Clinical Research Fellow in alliance with Boston’s Trauma Research Foundation. She trained as a mental health therapist for more than a decade inside the Maximum Security Prison in Muntinlupa. She was first assigned to serve the inmate population who were moved into reclusion perpetua from death row. Badoy Capati founded Rock Ed Philippines in 2005, an NGO initially focused on an aggressive volunteerism campaign guided by the MDGs on its first ten years, and for the latter half switched its focus on Mental Health initiatives.
She is now the lead Trauma Therapist of Project: Steady Asia (PSA) a mental health clinic for c-suite executives working and high achievers with mental health challenges. She assists in tandem care partnership under the clinical supervision of psychiatrists from Makati Medical Center, MetroPsych Facility, and Asian Hospital who focus, too, on trauma.
Peace and progress are impossible if a nation doesn’t prioritize the mental wellness of its citizens and leaders.
